What is MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation)?

EU regulation authorizing and supervising crypto-asset service providers (CASPs) across member states.

MiCA’s transitional periods ended July 1, 2026 for many firms; unauthorized CASPs must wind down regulated EU services or obtain authorization with passporting rights.

Requirements include capital, governance, conduct, white papers for certain offerings, and AML alignment.
